It’s likely that you’ve come across a craps game or two in your online gambling endeavours, but what the hell is it and how do you play? We’re here to solve all your crap-py problems, and send you in the right direction to the best Bitcoin craps casinos. Ready to master a new skill? Let’s do this!

What is Bitcoin Craps?

A great place to start – what is Bitcoin craps, exactly? Craps is a dice game played with 2 dice where players place various bets on the outcome of the roll. Don’t be intimidated by the complex board, the game is actually really easy to master, all you need to know are the bet lines (which we’ll run you through below). Also look out for Sic-Bo, considered the Asian equivalent (played with 3 dice).

How To Play Bitcoin Craps

To start, everyone places their bets in the relevant spaces, and the dice are rolled in what’s called the “Come Out” roll. The shooter (person rolling the dice – you) wants to hit a 7 or 11 to win, and avoid 2, 3, and 12 which automatically loses. Anything outside of these numbers is referred to as a “Point Number”. If the Point Number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10)  is rolled again before a 7, you win. However, if a 7 is rolled before the point number returns, you lose. This is referred to as a Pass Line Bet. Not too bad so far, let’s recap:

Come Out roll > first roll in the round (2 dice)

Winning Bet Line > dice outcome = 7 or 11

Losing Bet Line > dice outcome = 2, 3, or 12

Points Numbers > 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10

If your initial Point Number is rolled again before a 7 rolls out, you win with 1-1 odds.

Then the Don’t Pass Bet – where you can literally flip the rules: if you roll a 7 or 11, you lose. If you roll a 2 or 3, you win. If you roll a 12, you draw. Point rolls stay as is, only you’re now hoping the shooter rolls a 7 before the Point Number returns.

Right, let’s get into part 2: Come Bets to increase your winnings. During point rolls (where you’re chasing your initial Point Number), you can increase your bet amount by placing a wager on the point number. Pass Line rules apply, and if you land the selected Point Number before a 7, you win (more).
